Stefano Carboni
Ruolo: Scientific Activities Manager
My main interest resides in applied and fundamental aquaculture research and in how knowledge of the biology of commercial marine species is used to generate profitable and sustainable business. The research areas I am actively pursuing focus on Genetic and Environmental (including climate change) contributions to key phenotypic traits in commercially relevant bivalves and finfish species. Main impact of my research is aimed at the aquaculture industry and regulators, via development and execution of research projects, supervision of BSc, Msc, PhD students and early career researchers in collaboration with industry players and government bodies. At the International Marine Centre I coordinate all Aquaculture Research & Development activities.
