Role: Aquaculture and Fishery Resources Area Research Fellow

Barbara Loi is a marine biologist.  Her scientific background is in the reproductive biology of mollusks(such as cephalopods), in assessing the state of exploitation of marine resources, and in monitoring the health of coastal environments using bivalve mollusks as sentinel organisms.

Her current fields of interest involve several biological and ecological aspects of coastal organisms such as growth, the reproductive cycle and feeding behaviour.
