Technology Transfer

The Technology Transfer section of the lab responds to the current trend of European politics to involve research institutions in motivating local economies to think in terms of innovation and sustainability.

With this aim, the IMC promotes cooperation between businesses, people active in local development and production, and researchers.

The main instruments of this process involve listening to local concerns, and stimulating the productive sectors and the development of technological applications for the collection of environmental data. In particular, the activity focuses on the development of chain projects for a network of companies which are compatible with the current production situation. Examples are the lagoon and aquaculture businesses, or institutions and businesses potentially interested in forming partnerships for the experimental creation of pilot enterprises.
